On Friday, March 1, 2019, College President, Richard Jackson, participated in a discussion on “GREECE AS AN INTERNATIONAL CENTRE OF EDUCATION” at the 4th Delphi Economic Forum. Mr. Jackson stressed the need to adopt a loosely international model of education in Greece, even at the secondary school level. At the same time, Mr. Alexis Phylactopoulos, President of College Year in Athens and member of the HAEF BoD, noted the importance of allowing foreign students to come to Greece to study as this is a way of allowing them to establish a bond with our country and to act as its ambassadors around the globe.
Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis, Vice President of the New Democracy Party and former Minister of Development, as well as Ms. Vivienne Stern, Director of Universities UK International, and Mr. Panayotis Kimourtzis, Professor of Education Policies & History of Education at the University of the Aegean, took part in the discussion.
